Tim Vickery has just rubbished Balbuena on Talksport, gave Felipe Anderson a so-so report, but on the other hand has bigged up Pellegrini,he seems to be a spot on pundit normally, really knows his South American stuff

It doesn't matter what anyone's opinion is other than the managers. If Pellegrini thinks these players suit the style of football he wants to play then they have to be given a chance. That may well be different to how they were played before and how they may play after several games. Lets face it the players we previously picked didn't exactly pull up any trees.
Its negativity to cover up from the fact his own team is doing fuck all and is full of a load of bottlers with no spine.

His assessment of the potential for incoming players’ success is entirely dependent on what club is signing them. Spurs are signing them, it is an astute signing and the player will be a roaring success. We are signing them, they won’t be suitable and there is better talent playing in the Conference.
All other clubs lie somewhere in between on that spectrum.

Didn’t he say Lanzini was gonna be too lightweight for the PL?

Best to not pay too much attention to him. I remember when he claimed Paulinho was going to be brilliant when he moved to Spurs a few years back. Obviously didn't pan out that way. There's also the time he compared Lanzini to Tom Carroll as already mentioned on here.
He also won't have watched much of Anderson since he moved to Italy at the age of 19 as he freely admits he doesn't get to watch much European Football

simon - from what I read below, he said he hasn't watched Anderson since he joined Lazio - five years ago. My point is that five years is such a long time that his opinion on Anderson is no longer relevant.
As is mine - I'd never heard of the cunt (our cunt, of course) until recently!

Watches the Brazilian equivalent of Match of the Day and does a write up on it. EXPERT.

Reckon I will take the view of an experienced South American football man like Pellegrini with his contacts over an off the cuff OPINION ,which has no consequences for him, by a Spurs supporting media niche bloke ( English bloke who lives in Brazil).

But nobody was offering close to 40 mil for Kane back then. I know little or nothing about Anderson, beyond the obligatory YouTube offering, which lets be honest is a mugs game.
My benchmark for every wide player we now sign is Payet. Wrong I know, but there you go.

Take what he says with a very large pinch of salt. Said Brazil would piss the World Cup . And Neymar would bag the Golden Boot and player of the tournament. Only last month of 5live. And that all came too pass.

Five years ago Harry Kane scored FOUR league goals. Perhaps there's room for Anderson to have improved as well.

So he's never actually played football, coached or worked within the game. His only qualification to being an expert of South American football is living in Brazil and watching games?
I bet he said that Lamela was the second coming of Messi when they bought him, the Yid cunt.

He moved to Brazil to watch boys and found that was best done under the CLOAK of football. He is a Spurs fan so view with caution.

To be honest, the things he said about Balbuena seem to me to be suited to the Prem.. big brute of a defender, the main criticism was that he's ponderous which is something that can easily be ironed out.
He could be right of course, but people go on like he's the fucking bible of South American football, if he was that amazing, he'd be more than a freelance Fucking journalist.
